Greetings,

Was very excited to convert a teams CP960 into a SIP phone, love the CP920s and the CP960s looked like they would be just as good.

Installed the 3CX firmware and phone provisioned fine on v18 Build 20.

The touchscreen buttons all work except for Dial and Directory buttons do not work. If I initiate a call through 3CX webclient I can have a phone call but I have no in call controls.

Hoping someone has insight into a quick fix for this.

Thank you.

What is the firmware of the device?

Under Audio/Video "Use this device for calls"

This will use the device as audio device not to show call records in the device.

Understood - I cannot control the call on the CP960. With a CP920 used in the same manner I can place a call, transfer etc all frmo the buttons on the phone. The CP960 does not let me do anything.....best I can get is get 3CX Webclient to make the call on the CP960 ..... cannot hang up even....

Making calls directly without being controlled from the Web Client is working properly?

No, the CP960 Dial button does nothing. The only way I can make a call is using the Web client to control the CP960.

Noted, however Yealink CP960 and CP920 are marked as EOL by the vendor.
In this case i would suggest that you contact them for further clarification.

Sorry, I do not understand, the 3CX article https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-conference-phone/ and the firmware https://downloads-global.3cx.com/do.../firmwareupdates/yealink/CP960-73.86.0.20.rom suggests this phone would work. Does the CP960 phone work on 3CX?
Hello,

I connected up a CP960 to V18 and it works flawlessly from both webclient and standalone (same FW same PBX ver.).
The buttons worked after provisioning and before provisioning.

You mentioned your was converted from Teams, I don't know if the conversion had anything to do with it but I would suspect it at least.

Sounds like broken hardware to me with the Dial and Directory button not working...

The touchscreen Dial and Directory buttons respond like they are working but perform no action. All the other touchscreen buttons work as well as swiping etc. Given you have no issues with a CP960 I shall persist with troubleshooting this.

yes you need to check this further or maybe contact Yealink for this.

Just in case I am missing something obvious....I cannot reset the phone either through the phone WEB GUI or the phone itself. The Web GUI reports "Talking please wait"....rebooting makes difference

Have you tried to factory reset using the "HOME" button as per guideline here?

Yes, this had worked previously but not since provisioning, and this is why I then tried the other methods.

Waited 10 minutes and the phone would reset via the GUI. During the time it would not reset it would not accept any changes through the GUI, reporting "Talking please wait". Even after a reboot and no calls having been made, the phone, although not in a call, would report "Talking please wait". Now I have the phone reset, I added a SIP account through the web GUI, not a 3CX one. Phone works as you would expect, Dial button brings up keypad etc. and I can call out on the phone.

And manually adding in the 3CX account works, rather than using provisioning.

Currently is there any other issue?
