Hello,

a few days ago our PBX started to jump the CPU usage from "normal" ~4% up to ~70%.
Every 5 seconds it jumps up to ~70% and back to ~4%

CPU sepcs:

Intel Xeon E5-2630 v4 @ 2.20GHz

Here is a full list of hardware requirements needed for your 3CX instance:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/recommended-hardware-specifications-for-3cx/

Also ensure you do not have any other programs hosted on the server which could also be taking up the allocated resources.

My only other thought could be a DOS attack or high call rate hack, but I think you would be aware of this if it occurred on your system.

Hello eddv123,

Thanks for your fast answer.

I do not think it has anything to do with the requirements, as the system has so far had no problems and no high cpu utilization.

An attack by hacker I exclude because the PBX is running at our own data centre and that is secured really well.

Hi Dominik ,

Is it a Linux or Windows based 3CX system ?

It is a Windows based system.

Does Windows Task Manager, show other, (unexpected?) programmes running?

Exactly the question I was going to ask next based on your response.

While you are at it also check your Windows updates and .NET Framework is up-to date.
