Solved Creating a 3CX Lab when a prod is running

Hello there,

I'm trying to setup a Lab 3CX server in my network, but there is already a production 3CX system running on the Public IP Address.
I imagine I can't have both systems using the same Public IP address, no ?

Is there any way for me to have the production 3CX system and a Lab one ?

That is correct, you can not have two systems on the same wan IP address - you probably will have issues with licensing, updating fqdn , 3cx ssl certificate

Also you will not be able to setup porting forwarding

FYI. You can not run the two 3cx system using the same license key - the lab server would need a different license

Hi @NealONeal,

While we recommend 1 public IP per 3CX installation for a production system, to avoid any port forwarding issues. I can tell you that if you accept the limitations and wish to install two, the installer won't check and stop you from installing two PBXs behind the same public IP.

You'd be better off getting a VPS for cheap.

I'll have to check with my Network engineer if we have more IP addresses.
I'd love to install a Lab 3cx to practice for the 3cx certifications.

@Saqqara I know about the two keys needed, I got another one specially for the test one.
