Hi,

I'm doing a full integration between Odoo and 3CX. Working pretty fine for Search Contact by Email, Search Contact by Phone, Opening contact in Odoo when a call is answered...

Anyway, I don't understand when the Contact Creation and Livechat Log calls are supposed to be triggered.
I thought Livechat would happen when we close a chat, it's not the case,
I thought Contact Creation would happen when we send back no data or à 404 when searching a contact by Phone, but it's not.

Can you please give me a hint when / how to trigger those two calls ? :)
Once I know that I can finish the integration and will have a full Odoo/3CX Integration (with capabilities of CRM Integration Template).

PS: Reading the forum, it's sad there still isn't a full REST Api to control 3CX, it would be so so awesome ! Hope this will come at some point ^^

thanks alot in advance for your help !
Regards,
LOP

@wieser if I understand well you wanna do your own integration ?

Well can you provide any information about your integration, then?
Is it custom built? Or just built for a customer?
Or just built for own use?

Anyway, if you can share some insights or pointers (or even the source) that would be nice.

From 3CX's point of view the missing part is the REST API in Odoo. So I'm curious how you achieved integration from 3cx without that. There is also this, which seems to be licensed under GPL: https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/15.0/3cxcrm/
I have not tested that yet.
Our integration is built as a proxy, which 3CX can send REST queries to, and our app converts that for the Odoo XMLRPC API.

It was built for 1 customer initially but was expanded to fit any Odoo instances.

We don't rely on those marketplace apps as we cannot vouch for them or depend on the developer to be helpful with us.

Obviously, we're not giving away this code.

Not necessarily, but if there is a working implementation available I'm game.

I'm not asking you to give it away for free. ;)
We're based in Europe, so the processes and workflows might differ. Still, it sounds interesting.
We're running 3CX hosted and Odoo on premises - does your approach work in these conditions?
How about support?

I have tested that with odoo v15 - seems to work at a first glance. Contact infos are shown in 3CX. Depending on the type of contact (company, partner, lead, invidudual, etc.) different details are shown. Not bad for a free (GPL) addon.

That addon only does lookups.

Hey @edossantos , I have one remaining question, in case you can help:
If you update a contact in Odoo, will the updated information be available in the 3cx phonebook only when the contact calls you (inbound) or will it also be updated when you call the contact (outbound)?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Have a nice day !

The contact lookup and sync happens in both cases, for inbound and outbound calls.

@Vincent G on my end I didn't do any specific thing for CFD components :)
I have a limited knowledge of what it is.
Totally open to discuss and integrate anything that can be integrated within 3cx though !

@edossantos , I have a new question. With newer versions of 3CX I don't see the Scenario CreateContact happening anymore.
That's no big deal as when we search for a contact, I can create it if not found before returning the contact url etc.
BUT, the Search is only giving part of the number, not the full one.
In the CRM Template it goes like this:

<Request Url="https://xxx.be/3cx/search/number/[Number]/[CallDirection]" MessagePasses="0" RequestEncoding="UrlEncoded" RequestType="Get" ResponseType="Json" />

Calling from my number +32 476 27 55 84, I get this as request:
New contact from number : 6275584
It looks like in the example it takes only 555-1234 numbers.
Is it a configuration issue in 3CX itself I can change in the Admin panel ?
Or is it ""normal"" ? Is there a way to counter the number trimming ?

Thanks in advance for your insight :)

Sounds like you need more experience with 3CX.

Contact creation is now manual in U8. Also, by default 3CX sends only the last 6 digits of a number, this can be adjusted in the Console > Advanced > Contacts > Options.

@ConceptsWeb yes I clearly need more XP with 3CX. It all began with a small integration we made for a customer (just finding Odoo Contact by setting the custom URL to call with %CallerNumber% and %CallerName% or something).
Thanks a lot for the details.

You rock !

We have our own integrations already with more than Odoo. Appreciate the offer tho.

Hey @edossantos , it's been a while !
My Odoo module is working pretty fine, people use it and I fixed some small stuff in time.
But 2 people asked me if it was possible to have the CRM Call / page open when they do an Outgoing call?
For Incoming call, it works out of the box. Is there something I can do, a configuration in 3CX, so that Outgoing calls also open the CRM Integration ?
Thanks in advance for your help,

Regards
