Is there a way to customize the maximum number of active calls (lines) an extension can have before calls are forwarded to voicemail? From what I can tell, this is hard coded to 5 lines. I'd like to reduce this to 3 lines, but I can't find the setting anywhere.

I realize I can customize the BLFs to only show 3 lines. The problem with this is that additional calls still ring the extension, but the user has no way to answer them. This forces me to use 5 of the 10 BLFs for line keys and is less than ideal.

What phones are you using ?

If there are only 3 line keys, (or extensions) with the same extension number, available, and all are engaged, then the fourth call should go to voicemail, or "other" destination, as required.

Unfortunately, this is not the case. The 4th call rings through, but there is no BLF to answer the call.

What is it "ringing"? If there are no idle destinations available, the call should go to voicemail. The Activity Log will show the destination.

Regardless of how many line keys I have configured on the device, calls ring the extension. I've tried up to 5 active calls. Even if I only have 3 line keys configured, the phone rings when receiving the 4th and 5th calls instead of sending them straight to voicemail.

Maybe I should ask it this way: Is there a way to limit active calls per SIP account or extension?

What version of 3CX are you running, how are the phone provisioned - local, stun or sbc. If stun, how many phones are at the remote site ?

Have you tried factory resetting the phone, and re provisioning it.

You are running the latest templates for the phone ?

Latest fimware for the phone ? https://www.3cx.com/support/phone-firmwares/

Latest 3CX version, SBC version (this is how they are provisioned), and firmware. I've tried the default and custom templates, and I have tried factory resetting the phones.
