daisy chaining phones

You know how many phones have a sw and pc port? Would it work to plug another phone into the pc port?

I wanted to add a 2nd phone to a remote area of the office that doesn't have any extre lan jacks so I was thinking I might try this. Any known problems? I'm planning to try this with 2 spa504gs when they come on thursday.

Should be no problem, the second Ethernet port is usually just a bridge, so it behaves like a switch with one port going to the device it is within, and the second appearing as a socket.

I have daisy-chained a few SPA2102's rather than use a switch (LAN ports set to Bridge Mode). The only risk is that if one fails (or the power supply), so will all devices beyond it.
