Everyone,
In the UK, DASS2 is still commonly in use for interconnecting E1 PBXs with BT - the incumbant operator. One of our customers has a PBX connected to BT with an E1 and DASS2 rather than Q931 (or Euro ISDN). The gateway we use for 3CX is an Axtan IP CallBox. Although not supported by 3CX, it does works with DASS2, Q931 and DPNSS (a BT proprietary private signalling system). This permits us to change over to 3CX without needing to change the type of ISDN first. Once it has been running for a while, it will be changed to Q931. It was very little trouble to get the Axtan to work.

I just wanted to show that working with DASS2 is possible.

Kind regards
Richard Crabb
