Isn't there a system variable we can change where when someone finishes a call that's part of a call group, their phone will immediately ring and let them pick up that call instead of waiting the 30 second timer for it to start ringing again?

I assume you are talking about the wrap-up time defined on queues. See: Call Queues --> <queue> --> Advanced tab --> Queue Preferences

I think they're talking about when they wrap up a call, they can hear the other phones ringing and can't immediately pick up the call. Sounds like it's not what you described. It's in ring groups.

Using a ring group, there's no way to avoid the delay. However, they should be able to pickup the call using *20* if my memory serves.

Provided that we are talking about Ring Groups, I just want to add that you can actually specify the Ring Group you are trying to pick up a call from by using *20*EXT where EXT is the Ring Group extension number (e.g *20*800). Doing so would eliminate the possibility of picking up another ringing call on that PBX.

Note: Do note that this cannot be done for Call Queues, as Call Queues actually answer the call to place the caller in the Queue.
