Delay DECT phones

Hi, we have a cloud 3CX machine on AWS.
The customer has two STUN phones on site, a Yealink T41S desk top and a Yealink W60B DECT handset.

We have noticed that calls to the cordless phone start ringing after about 10 seconds, while calls to the desk phone come immediately. Both are connected to the same router and both are part of the same ringing group.

Have you specified different local SIP ports and RTP ports for each of your STUN phones in the MGMT console?

When problems occur with STUN phones it's recommended to ensure each phone has it's own ports, static LAN IP with port forwarding to local SIP and RTP Ports.

Also, turn on "PBX Delivers Audio" to overcome some audio issues.

Example of this set up:

Ext - 1: 5062 & 14000 - 14011
Ext - 2: 5064 & 14012 - 14023
Ext - 3: 5066 & 14024 - 14035

Failing this, putting in an SBC is your next option to overcome the firewall issue.

Yes, we did, also the customer uses a FritzBox 7530. I don't know if it could be due to the fact that the DECT base is connected to a Switch.

Well the obvious test would be to plug it in to the router if possible.

This is something that can sometimes happen via STUN.

Then consider testing the same device over SBC at the same site to compare, I think you should find there will be no delay. This is assuming you did not have any forwards active of course or anything else that would introduce an artifucial delay
