Hi,

Just wondering if there is any way to reduce the time it takes for desk phones to initiate the call (internal and external) from the time that the last key is entered?

Obviously, pressing 'dial' will start the call straight away, but is there is a way to reduce that 3-4 second delay?

Many thanks in advance,

Nothing you can change via the 3CX Management Console ,

You will probably have to use custom templates which are not supported by 3CX or change the setting withing the phone management screen

What phones ?

Hmmm... yeah, that's what I thought :(

Phones, in this case, are Fanvil X3S's - but I've had similar scenarios with some Grandstreams too.

I'm trawling through the phone management now, but can't find anything obvious?

Thanks for the reply...

You were right about it being a handset/template thing...

Found the following setting:
11147

I'm loathe to create a custom template for something so small, but I suppose that's the answer if needs be....

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction:)

This 4 seconds delay is there for a reason.

If you set it to 1sec, everytime you enter a phone number too slowly it will try to call.

To dial immediately, use #, Dial or simply off-hook the handset.

Yeah, that all makes sense :) Just the first time that any has complained about it really...
