Good afternoon,

I am currently using 3cx version 10. And when making any call (internal/outbound) there is a delay for about 4 to 5 seconds. This even occurs when using the # button. However, when making a sip call directly to each phone (via url), it rings instantly.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Roger

Version 14 is being released on Tuesday 9/1.

You are so far behind (v 10 came out Mar 2011) as to be shocking.

How about getting to a current or 1 prior version in return for some support?

Regards,
Allen

What type of sets are you using? Is there more than one type, if so does the delay occur on all of them. The # may not be the end of dialling signal on your sets.

Did you look in the 3CX Server log to see how long it took to set up a connection once 3CX began processing the call? Is there a delay? If not, then the set is waiting (for more digits) before sending to the PBX despite the #.

Good morning,

Thanks for the update. We are currently using various Polycom models; ranged from IP 450- IP 670.

Please see below for a call log taken from the 3CX server

Kind regards

It would appear that the delay is happening in the set itself. Looking over the documentation for the Polycom (and perhaps another forum member with Polycom experience can add some comments here), the phones appear to have an internal Digit Map, that if configured correctly, would automatically send the digits immediately, upon a match.

It also appears that there is a "send" button to use after dialling...

You may also try pre-dialling (handset on-hook), then after all digits are entered, pick up the handset. I don't know if this will work or not, but it does on some makes of sets.

Hi,

I don't think it can be the handsets we are using because we also use GrandStream gateways to accommodate for analog phones and they too have the same issue. This is really mind boggling. We ever restarted our server multiple times but the issue still stands.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Roger

I have seen the Grand-stream delay on ATA's when the correct dial string is not provisioned.

It's not only on the gateways. It is on the VOIP Polycom phones as well. Is there a setting on 3CX ver. 10 that could affect this?

Regards

Roger

The log you posted shows about 3 seconds to complete a call, so I don't suspect that it is 3CX. I think that it is the set waiting for additional digits before sending. Four to five seconds is the "normal" wait timeout. Have you tried pressing the Send button, that shows in the user documents that I attached the link for? Have you looked into creating a digit map in the set?
