Dial by Name

Is there something special we need to do for users to be found when using the default Dial by Name in the digital receptionist? It works for some users but not others. We have the last names filled out for everyone.

For the call by name feature to work the extensions need to record their self identification message in the voicemail system.

Once signed in you press 9 for options and press 5 for self ID message.

If you have a large number of employees or a very transitory workforce, you may want to take a look at our 3CX Auto Self-ID tool. This tool will look for any missing self IDs and create them automatically. It runs as a service and will check nightly.
