Dial call from script ?

Hello

Is there any easy way to initiate (dial) a call from a script (powershell would great but basically anything would do).
I have reviewed the CRM integration documentation but it seem to only work for incoming calls - my need is to initiate a call programmatically. And if I understand correctly there is (surprisingly) no API ?

Any advise / pointer most welcome

A few possibilities:

1. Use the CFD as a dialer. Check out the docs, it can do a lot.
2. Use the Windows softphone with the 3CXCallTriggerCmd.exe (only works via Windows.)
3. Try one of the @voiptoys products.

Keep in mind that a new RESTful API is coming sometime next year. However, we do not have any specific ETA as it is not a priority right now (we want SMS first.)
