Hi all, Sam here

I am new on 3cx an struggling with a configuration. Here is what I need:

I have 3 phone numbers ( all in one trunk) , each number goes to a separate ring group. Most of the extensions are the same in all ring groups. ( 3 companies, same people, same house but customers need to separated )

How do I call back an number in the "missed call" with the correct number? I just have Do I really have to create a separate extensions for each phone number?

There is probably an easy solution, I just haven't found it yet :-)

I am thankful for hints an input :-)

Sam

There are only two ways to control your outbound caller ID:

1. Set the caller ID of the extension
2. Set the Caller ID for the trunk.

I think the most common approach is to setup 3 SIP trunks, one for each company. Some SIP providers will allow you to register multiple trunks at no additional cost. Set the outbound caller ID for each trunk with the desired company DID.

Set outbound rules to expect a prefix digit. For example, 7 for company A, 8 for company B, and 9 for company C. When the user wants to dial out as company A, for example, they would dial 7XXXXXXXXXX. The outbound rule would be something like 11 digits starting with a 7. The outbound rule would then strip 1 digit (the 7).

Alternatively, you could look at our "3CX Caller ID" tool which allows the user to easily set their caller ID to Company A, B, or C.

Thanks, I will try that!
