Many phone systems I have used in the past required dialing a certain number such as 9 or 0 to reach an outside line. These systems also started calling an internal or external number as soon as the system recognized the number and the user stopped dialing.
I'm deploying 3CX with Yealink phones and it seems to work the opposite way. I'm not required to dial 9 to reach an outside number, but I am required to press send on the phone to place the call. Honestly, I kind of like this way of doing it better. It behaves more like a cell phone and seems intuitive to me. Is there any problem or disadvantage to this?
