Hi,
in the new version the behavior of the dialer has changed.
In version 18.7.10, the dialer was opened in front when an incoming call was received and you could decide when to accept the call.

Since version 18.8.508 the dialer stays in the background. I can change this behavior via the settings. Now I see an incoming call again. Unfortunately there is one problem. From the new version is immediately the Enter key is active. If an employee writes a document or an order, he immediately accepts a call.

How can I change this again? In the standard settings, the calls are no longer recognized.
Is there a workaround to restore the behavior from version 18.7.10?

Thanks a lot

i was hoping to fix the bug by assigning a different key. Unfortunately, the Enter key still remains active.

Hi @Tyler.Calhoun,

If you disable Allow call pop-up to steal focus on incoming calls and you're typing, it should not pop up at all. If you close the Desktop App window, and continue typing and a call comes in, what you should see is a minimized icon appear on the taskbar.

Hi @VasilisV_3CX,

thanks for your quick feedback.
That is correct. But only the 3CX icon is flashing in the taskbar. Users will have to click on the icon to see who is calling.

In the previous version, you could see who was calling immediately from the popup and then decide if you wanted to answer the call immediately or finish your work first.

The popup steals the focus. Is this a bug? I do not understand where the benefit to the version 18.7.10 is.

Edit: is there maybe a way to change this in the registry?

Hi @Tyler.Calhoun,

I'm afraid that those are the options at the moment. It's popup and steal focus, or don't and have to click the icon to see who's calling.

The popup steals the focus. Is this a bug?
I understand, however it is how it was intended to work. It does tend to steal the focus.

Edit: is there maybe a way to change this in the registry?
I wouldn't recommend any registry edits unless instructed to do so by 3CX Support staff.

ok thank you.
I would like to ask you one thing.
Can you tell me in which directory the 3CXDesktopApp-Setup is located on the 3CX server (debian)?
I would like to replace it with 18.7.10 and disable autoupdate.
So users should not receive any update notification.

I will then offer our users a downgrade.

I will lock this thread because as explained by my colleague, this is the expected behavior, but I will tell you where the file is stored, since with a simple search you would find it anyway:
/var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Http/electron/

HOWEVER

I need to warn that modifying system files is not recommended nor supported and can lead to problems. Also if you remain on an older version, at some point it WILL stop working because with each update, the latest Desktop App version is tested and expected, that's why we bundle the new version with the Server Update.
Also, auto-updates can't be disabled on the client side, if a client sees the update, it will install it.
