I have a couple of questions, one is about license: My license is about to expire in 10 days but, I just download and installed the system within the las 45 days, is that common?
I am on v16 everything worked well, and none of this issues where present, I don't know if it is because the license is expiring but, everything stopped working and now this are the issues I am having. Appreciate any help of guidance.

Using a cp-9971 Phone System

Inbound Sip all active everything forwards to the right extension call work and outbound calls work well. I have the system append the (1) digit to the numbers dials for simplicity, if not the user has to dial using a (1)202-555-1212. This works well for us.

for some reason my inter-office dialing is no longer working, when I try to dial any extension or any number for a matter of fact and I either use the speaker or the handset, when I press the first digit it returns an error saying "you have dialed an invalid number" the only manner that I can dial the extension is by begin typing the number without lifting the handset or activating the speaker. Was I enter the number I can press call on the screen and it works, I can touch the speaker button and it works, I can lift the handset and it works.

The problem only happens when I first click the speaker/handset and get a dial tone, than I get the message, you have dialed the wrong number.

The behavior is the same whether I am dialing an internal number or outbound call. Its driving me nuts.... can anyone help.

Also, my Contact button was functioning and pulling up the Contacts, and it has stopped working, together with the voicemail button, voicemail I can still get by dialing *4, but the contacts do not pull up using the url.

So if you read the emails sent when you downloaded, you would see that the trial starts out as a 40 day Pro trial and then reverts to Standard. So it is only the Pro trial that is expiring. Provided you aren't using any Pro features this won't affect you.

As far as the inter-office dialing, the CP-9971 phone is not a supported phone so I have no advice other than a recommendation to use a supported phone. A list of them are available here:

https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/

I understand about the supported phone, however, it is running on a supported codec, g522 and g529 and all features were working without any problems, until I installed the v16 update.

I don't think you do. It's great that you are running a supported codec, but you aren't having codec problems so that's really not relevant. What's relevant is that you had an unsupported phone working on an older version, and you performed an update (which you didn't mention in your original post) which is only tested with supported phones and it stopped working.

For the dialing this is not a 3CX isssue. As you described, it only happens when you try to perform an off-hook dial. You will want to look at the web interface of the phone or go to the Cisco forums to ask there why off-hook dialing is handled differently.

The problem is it was working fine in v16 prior to the update. The SEP File did not change nor did I change the Extensions, however, something did change in 3cx, it feels like something if forcing this pattern.

The only think I have changed, is the outbound and inbound rules. Prior to the update I only had the internal calling and inbound rules, but after the update I configured the outbound dialing rules, could a combination of those things trigger this behavior?

Prior to the outbound rules and update it worked. I think I am going to begin fresh and Identify the problem.
