I have 4 DIDs and we change the routing from time to time. now we can't get the DID to assign or forward to the correct extensions its ringing the main number and it seems to be assigned to one of the extension phone user names. caller ID when i call the number gives me one of my stations users names which seems odd.

It sounds as if an extension is call forwarding the call to another extension. Check the 3CX Activity Log to see precisely how the call is routing. That will also show if the DID number, being sent by your provider is exactly matching your DID rule.

Last night my PBX blacklisted my ADTRAN provided by Spectrum. What was a simple routing issue is now system down hard. Subscriber not available message CA12356. The reseller doesn't seem to know what the problem is and aren't helping they're likely responsible for these issues in their attempt to fix the simple DID routing issue I asked them to look at. They set up the system years ago then 3 days ago said something wasn't done right and made a few changes now my ADTRAN can't ping the 3cx host on my lan and my blacklist is clear. internal calls station to station work. Spectrum says all green and the PBX says all green SIP trunks up all good. I really need help my reseller is useless.

I have backups stored remotely. I was able to restore a backup using v15 did they remove this feature? apparently im only able to select a backup already stored on the system. is there any way to restore a file from a backup not on the system? i have weekly scheduled backups i normally download them and store them safely. its seem counterintuitive to store backups locally in the event of catastrophic failure they would be unavailable. this feature is useless imo. anyone know how to restore from a file on a network that's not already in the pbx backup directory.

You have two ways to do it. Uninstall and reinstall and you will be prompted to upload a backup. Or just put the backup into the folder

Or use a reseller that can fix your system rather than break it!!!! I found my issue on the inbound parameters for Sip Trunk DIDs. They took out my wildcards and replaced with 10 digits and the system wasn't able to identify the inbound caller so it treated the device sending the data as a security risk and blacklisted the ADTRAN IP on the same internal network as the PBX physical host. Adding wildcards to identify inbound numbers worked system is happy.

There is that too! :)

Good job troubleshooting the issue. I'm surprised your partner not only broke it but then didn't know how to fix it. If you are looking there are several competent partners who hang out on the forums.

I had some help but we solved the problem easily. What a joke. This company is a "reseller" and they don't have the resources to solve simple problems they themselves cause? They have a trouble ticket system you send an email and they respond in an hour and break your shit then walk away and take a personal dig at you? This was my experience it was ridiculous. I'd share the company name but I actually have ethics unlike them. If anyone has a recommendation for a reputable reseller/partner that offers real technical support I would greatly appreciate it. Much thanks!!

Where are you located?

I'm in Northern California.
