Different ringtones to 2 different queues - Fanvil X4

Hello

we have a client who uses 2 queues and wish to have 2 different ring tones depending on the queue.
3CX doesn't support this so we were going along the lines of a custom template.
However, I can see in provisioning template where the appropriate section is.
We were thinking of find where the queue ringtone is handled then duplicate this and make the necessary tweaks

Can anyone assist with this, please??

Before spending time on a custom template, can you configure your setup by adjusting the settings within the phone GUI.

Do you know if 3CX passes to the phone the queue name, because if it does not then the setup you want is not going to work. 3CX may just send a generic name 'Queue' for all queues.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have seen that thread, but the link posted regarding Fanvil phones (client is using Fanvil X4's) no longer works

Indeed that's what I'm kind of looking to do



That's the screenshot of the X4 phone UI and I've added queue 2 and renamed queue to queue 1.
Now, my issue is trying to get 3CX to recognise which queue is which and so play the right tone.

Any suggestions at all?

This could be your biggest issue, I very much doubt 3CX sends different alert info for different queues - using wireshark can you see different alert info

You may have to wait for the next update as above
