Hey folks,

Forgive me if what I ask has a generally simple answer to it. The most I've done with 3cx thus far has been creating and removing extensions and thats about it.

I work as a desktop technician at a medium-large organization and we are having difficulty getting one of our reception lines working for an office. We are using an on-prem server running 3cx v15.5 and this 3cx server handles two offices, our main office and our satellite office on the island. This problem relates to the satellite office.

When I call into the satellite office and reach their IVR, we have a pre-recorded message listing out all of the options. When I press "0" however, the call reaches our receptionist in the main office and not in the satellite office. For some reason this also seems to happen intermittently and not always. Anyway, we have an inbound rule configured to route the external number to the correct extension. We also have a digital receptionist setup for the satellite office as well. I don't see much difference between how the satellite office is setup and our main office is setup in 3cx. However, I brought this issue up with reseller and he advised that its impossible to resolve the issue because if you go into Settings > PBX, the "callers who transfer out of voicemail or other menus will be forwarded here" only has one option...and thats to forward to our main office.

I have a feeling this is a goofy setup for a 3cx to begin with but any help would be appreciated.

So, this is an IVR in the host switch and the satellite office (sets) are using...STUN, VPN, SBC?

When I press "0" however, the call reaches our receptionist in the main office and not in the satellite office.

The "reception" sets at both locations use the same extension number, or are they part of a ring group? The IVR is set to direct the call to the extension number/ ring group number?

If you check the 3CX Activity Log after a call, when the "remote" extention does not ring, does the log show it trying, along with an error message, as to why it did not ring (not registered)?
