Digital Receptionist Recording - Any phone

Does anyone know why you can't record a digital receptionist from any phone (outside phone)? I can enter a 7 digit number and it will call my cell, but there is no audio. If I call my extension, it works fine. I am running version 10, SP5.

Hi,
Why would you do this?
Its designed to be recorded only from a registered pbx extension as it says in field description.
