Direct Sip - Inbound - Caller Id

We are placing a direct sip inbound call to an extension on 3cx. it is working fine and showing a phone number we are calling from.

What can we pass in the sip header that would override the Display Name for this call on the 3cx soft phone?

What do you mean by override? What do you want the 3CX soft phone to show? Also which soft phone are you referring to? The 3CX clients should get the Display Name from the "From: Display Name" SIP header.

So as the call comes in from the provider it shows just a phone number like +18479999999

I want to add a name to it.

Does the call from the provider contain a name in any of the SIP headers?

But we can add sip headers to the call. Which should we add

Like i mentioned in my first reply try to add the name in the "From: Display Name" sip field.
