Hi!
I'm using on promise Pro version of 3CX with custom certificate installed. After latest updates certificate automatically renews every day to the Let's encrypt cert used by 3CX FQDN.
Is it possible to disable that scheduled task?

Thank you.

Are you using a custom FQDN or 3CX FQDN?

The system is configured for 3CX FQDN.

There are only two options: either you use your own custom FQDN and custom certs, or you use a 3CX FQDN and we generate the certificate for you.

You cannot use a custom certificate and a 3CX FQDN at the same time.

So, if I want to use custom FQDN and my own cert, I need to re-install 3CX and select custom FQDN in configuration master?

Thank you.

Yes that is correct.

  1. Take a backup without they key and FQDN option ticked
  2. Uninstall the existing system
  3. Login to the 3CX customer portal and release your current FQDN under your key
  4. You can now reinstall using the backup you made, enter your key and define your own FQDN

Since you are on premise, you should also use the split DNS option so that your FQDN will resolve correctly both for people who are on premises, and also for people who are remote.
