Disable Internal Chat while still allowing SMS/MMS

We are currently using another vendor for SMS/MMS (captivated.works). For 3cx audio we use Flowroute and they offer SMS/MMS and we have tested it on 3cx and it works great. But we do not want our employees to use the "Chat" function in 3cx because we use MS Teams for that and it is logged. We don't want to have two internal chat platforms but want to use 3cx for SMS/MMS.

Is there a way to disable internal chatting on 3cx while still allowing SMS/MMS? I know technically they could still just SMS/MMS internally to each other, but that is beside the point. We would like to disable the internal chat function and only allow SMS/MMS through the 3cx desktop and mobile apps. Is this possible?

Please be advised that the chat feature in 3cx is linked to all Chat functions, Live chat, SMS, Internal chat, etc. it is only possible to disable chat globally, and as a result disables all chat functions, including SMS.

This is something I would appreciate being able to do also. We are in the same scenario with M$ Teams and using 3CX for SMS.

We want to do the same. Allow WhatsApp and Live Chat but disable internal chat.
Perhaps you can think about it for v20 as an update.

I found this thread again today and still want to do the same thing. It's just happenstance that it's exactly a year after the initial post!

We have no information regarding this, it is global.
