Hello *,

we are using tiptel IP 286 phones (Firmware Version 2.61.13.6, Hardware Version 1.0.0.4) and the V11 SP1 of 3CX. The release notes of V11 are saying:
http://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/new-3cx-phone-system-v11/ said:
Configure different ring tones for different types of call – from Queue, external, etc.
But I can not find any way to get this to work.

I found some hints in the config-export of the telephone like:
Code:
[ AlertInfo0 ]
path = /config/Setting/Setting.cfg
Text =
Ringer = 1

[ AlertInfo1 ]
path = /config/Setting/Setting.cfg
Text = external
Ringer = 2

[ AlertInfo2 ]
path = /config/Setting/Setting.cfg
Text = international
Ringer = 3

[ AlertInfo3 ]
path = /config/Setting/Setting.cfg
Text = national
Ringer = 4

[ AlertInfo4 ]
path = /config/Setting/Setting.cfg
Text = local
Ringer = 5

[ AlertInfo5 ]
path = /config/Setting/Setting.cfg
Text = queue
Ringer = 6

[ AlertInfo6 ]
path = /config/Setting/Setting.cfg
Text = ivr
Ringer = 7

But there seems to be no way that 3CX uses those different ring tones.

So, what will be the way to get this work WITHOUT uploading the internal phonebook to every telephone and assign a special ring tone for those numbers like we did with the V10 (first phone: Contacts->Local Directory->Contacts, Name, Office Num, Ring->Add; deploy to other phones by XML import)

Found some help for snom phones here but nothing for tiptel or Yealink (Yealink SIP-T28 seems to be identical).

Or will this be automatically be done if everything from here http://www.3cx.com/blog/voip-howto/caller-id-processing-distinctive-ringing-alert-info/ is done correctly? Because then we will have to look into this once again...

Thanks for any help!

Kind Regards
M. Abraham
