Just wondering, it's not a big deal if it can or not but at work, when we receive an internal call (From another ext.) the phone rings longer (RRRRIIIIINNNNGGGG [pause] RRRRIIIIINNNNGGGG) as opposed to when we recieve an external call where it is just the normal (RING [pause] RING). Is it possible to do this with 3cx?

Its not possible right now, but its a very valid feature request :-)

Marked for implementation for future versions. I cant guarantee its v7, but if not v7 then v8

We've tackled this for now by registering the phones in 3CX with two different extensions/SIP accounts and setting different ring tones for the different SIP accounts on the phones. One extension is used for external calls and another for internal.

It'd be nice to hide the dummy "external" extensions in the VOIP client though.

Matt,

Grandstream GXP-2000 and GXP-2010. They both have 4 SIP account settings with up to 3 customised ring tones and a "system" ring tone (a tone generator with controllable frequency and cadence) which can be assigned independently to the accounts.

Andy.

Has this feature been included in V11 yet?

This article has been around for a while...not sure if it requires an update with the release of V11.

Of course, the handset must be able to support this.
