I want to route two DID to the same phone but I need to be able to tell which DID was called, is there a way to tell in 3CX phone if incoming call called DID#1 vs DID#2?
I want to avoid setting up two phones for reception.

Is there a way to display which incoming SIP trunk is calling?

Also when calling out, reception has to choose which caller id to display either DID#1 or DID #2?

Add a DID rule with the Name as the DID, it will show on their display. Cant change the CallerID without 3rd party software OR creating another ext and manually setting up a line on the phone.

There is no phone programable key that I can select to choose which SIP trunk to call out, is there?

Built in? No. You could create another ext, create an outbound rule that will only apply to that ext, then setup that ext on the programmable key. When you use that key to dial out, it will use whatever sip trunk you told it to in the outbound rule.

If I speed dial (programmed key) an extension, at what point do I enter the number?
When I press the extension key, wouldn't that just ring the extension?
I do not understand how that key can be used to dial out.
Are you talking about a key that will switch the extension of my phone?
I cannot find any info about that? Does it work on Standard license?

No, not yet, without a third party add-on. See... https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/ability-to-set-a-caller-id-for-outbound-calls.42840/

You can choose which trunk, a call will use in several ways. You can use a prefix, 9+5551234, uses one trunk , or 8+ 5551234 uses another trunk. This is decided in the outbound rules you create. You can also create rules that apply to certain extensions, so if you dial the same number, from different extensions, each will use a different trunk.

If you are using different trunks, to send different caller ID's then that is one way to do it. The other way is to set the DID number against an extension (outside caller ID), if allowed by your provider. Each call made by that extension on any trunk, will show that caller ID, again if allowed by each of the providers, and the trunk outbound settings allow..

You have two options when doing it through an extra extension to dial out with.

1) you step into the realm of a custom template for that device (custom templates aren't supported by 3CX).
Here you enter the extension details into the template along with one of the programmable keys setup as the extra line key for that extension.

2) You login to the device and manually add the second extension credentials and program a key to be an additional line key for that second extension.

This way when you then press the new line key it will use the second extension, then you can enter the number and it will dial out with the line key you pressed.

Thank you @sdg, @leeejor, @Cytranic that cleared it up. I will check the custom template.

I tried contacts, options, add DDI (Prepend Name) but it does not show on Yealink T48s screen.
It shows only on Android 3CX phone.
What am I missing to display SIP trunk/DDI name on the desktop phones?
DID is assigned to ring group extension. SIP trunk and DID rule named differently.

Going by the Android App, I have to assume 3CX is sending it. Could it be scrolling off the screen because of the length of the calling number, name display and DID number?

I tried both append and prepend just in case.

@leejor can you confirm that DID shows on your desk phone? What phone are you using?
