DND on T46S

Trying to find a way to permanently disable the DND button. I can log into the device and remove it but every time I change the firmware or template it comes back. Is this an enterprise feature on custom templates? Anyone have this concern?

I prefer to educate my end users but yes, you can use a custom template to disable it, or you can provision the phone and then remove the provisioning URL which will stop the phone from re-provisioning. Then any changes you make in the web interface will stick.

You don't need any specific version to do custom templates, although you can't use custom templates with 3CX hosting.
