Dear Forum!

This customer install is for 300 extensions in Germany - Called "Rufblock" - from -0 to -299.

Question, does every extension that is to be called directly from the outside, let's say -0, -10,-11, up to -30 require its own SIP Trunk?

...or, could one get away with fewer SIP Trucks -say 8-, as 3CX has integrated "smartness" to determine which direct extension was dailed, and routes it as such?

The provider would be "Telekom".

Thanks

Dennis

Not at all. You can use 1 trunk with a 10 calls limit and have 300 extensions share those 10 "lines".

Then, on the inbound side, you may want DIDs (direct numbers) going straight to extensions but you can also route to an IVR (virtual receptionist/menu where they can dial the ext number) or a group, a queue, and a few other options.
