Don’t Just Talk… Video! Get the New iOS App

New update worked for me.

To transfer a call the process has changed:
  • Tap Transfer
  • Tap Attended Transfer
  • Press the Magnifying Glass on the bottom left below the *
  • Find the person to transfer to and tap to dial them
  • Press Join to finish the transfer

This just cost me half a day trying to figure out why 3 systems (all working from home) just developed call transfer issues from their iPhones over the weekend. Granted that the new Android app works the same way after testing it, but both the Android and iPhone App documentation pages are a bit too basic to really use and without these fundamental feature changes mentioned in blogs and/or the official App documentation pages, confusion ensues. @3cx, can we get the Android/iPhone pages updated with call control features and screen shots instead of VERY outdated Youtube videos for Android and a glossed-over run through focusing on video for the iPhone? I'd have to think that this would reduce both Partner and End-User support calls as well as minimize confusion. Thanks!

There is a problem when I search for a contact in the app. I can't type Chinese characters. When I using Pinyin and Bopomofo both of them need to type several characters and choose a Chinese character. Every time I try to type it can only show the lastest symbol I type. I record a video to show the problem.

@brisingr
Confirmed, checked right now. Thanks for spotting it!

I can only say we never actively developed the predecessor for VoiceOver to work or not. I turned it on my device and it does talk to me what the buttons are (keypad numbers and so forth).
You get an response, but you are not able to interact with the keypad. Implementing support for IOS native screen reader "VoiceOver" should be a must have for applications like this.

We are now looking into other options than 3CX because of the missing VoiceOver support in the new app.

Have you gotten any answers from Support on VoiceOver yet.. we too have proposals out for 3CX to visual impairment society and associations .. and now must help them get onto Zoom Phone.

We have unfortunately not received any feedback from 3CX about the lack of VoiceOver support.

Our supplier, GlobalConnect Norway, has addressed this problem directly to 3Cx, but the answer has so far been disappointing.

We are now looking into different options to replace 3CX.

Seems a little silly to propose something lacking an feature that's important to them.
