Apologies if this should be in the Client forum...

With supported door entry systems, if there is a video element to the DES, will the video come through to the Windows client (for example) as a video call to allow the recipient to view who is using the system ahead of carrying out the relevant door release DTMFs ?

Hi!

Yes, that is the idea. There is only one requirement though, the door phone device and the device answering the call must have a common video codec.

In the example of the 3CX Windows App, it only supports VP8 and H.263, so if your door phone does not support VP8, video will not work.

It would be safer bet to use the 3CX WebClient to answer as it supports more codecs.

Currently there is no video support for the Mobile Apps, but it is in our plans to add in the future.
