Have a site that I was updating to V20 but it won't allow me to log into the site or receive a recovery email. I made sure I had all passwords and System Owner had 1 unique email, but no luck. Had an old version of 18.09.31 that won't allow me to restore a back, because that is on 18.0.9.35. So the question of the day is, how do we get a downloadable copy of the latest version without having to rebuild the whole system or are we basically floating out in the wind and starting from scratch?

Hello,

The Updated PBX, you can access the login page but it is not accepting the Extension/email + Password for the system owner?

That is correct. I tried logging in with the email address and then the extension #, but told me incorrect credentials. Tried to do a password reset and gave the standard, if that email is registered on the system you will receive a password reset email. I have not received any such emails, but have gotten emails in the past.

Hello,

Did you have any success logging in?

I unfortunately was not able to log in. I never got a password reset email and tried all the different username/password combos I had with 0 success. I ended up having to rebuild this system, but now worried on another V18 --> V20 update I need to do on Friday evening that has 30 extensions and I run into the same fate. I most certainly don't want to have to rebuild this system from scratch as I just did with this other. Just to be clear for my own piece of mind, there is only 1 System Owner. That System Owner has a unique email address from any of the other email addresses that are attached to the User ID accounts and I am saving both the username/password for the current credentials I use to log in as well as the Web Authentication credentials or should there be another set of credentials I am using? Have a small update tonight and then Friday night is the larger system I don't want to spend the whole weekend rebuilding.

username/password for the current credentials
The v18 admin user account will no longer exist, one must use an extension number or email.

You can create a second system owner, and test that too? FWIW we didn't have issues with any of our upgrades, last fall.

I am sure it is something I overlooked but made sure that I had all my ducks in a row. Of course there was one that decided to get out of line and put me where I was yesterday with rebuilding the system. Checking everything now on 2 systems that need to be updated and making sure these 2 go smoother.

Hello PatM,

Personally, I always create an extra 'System Owner' on my personal email before I start with the backup.
"lastgoodv18.zip" -> transfer backup to local laptop and to Business NAS (just another location)
Once all is good and the 3CX server is working on V20, another backup
"firstgoodv20.zip" -> transfer backup to local laptop and to Business NAS (just another location)
Then I will also remove my personal 'System Owner', and its done.

Did I ever needed to use my personal account to login... yes, and I was verry happy that I did.

Why do I create a personal account, well it has another email domain than the customer domain email, and I need to setup the password first, where I than know the email will work (password reset).

Excellent idea and doing that now with 2 other email accounts so I have a backup on to of the backup. I always create a backup of the latest revision so that I have the most recent and download it to the local machine, my main working machine and then out in the cloud so I can grab it from 1 of 3 locations.

Thanks again for the ideas and will hopefully implement them.
