Hi!

I have just upgraded a test system from 3.1 to the latest v5 build. Everything appears to be working except that incoming calls from BroadVoice are dropped.

I reach the IVR and dial the desired extension. I hear the confirmation that the call is being transferred. The requested extension rings, though the caller does not hear the ringing.

If nobody answers the extension, the moment it switches to voice mail the call drops. If someone answers the extension, as soon as they answer the call drops.

This segment from the IVRServer.log file looks like it might be relevant:

I also found this in the PhoneSystem.trace.log file:

I know the last line says "usually no common codec", but that seems unlikely after an upgrade.

Any help will be appreciated.

regards,
Alan.

Just out of curiosity have you tried adding all the codecs back on ?

If you have a purchased version you also have G729

Hi!

After your suggestion, I did try assigning all the codecs, but received the same response.

I assume a codec is used to send the IVR responses and those work OK. It is possible that the telephone does not have an appropriate codec, but it does have the same ones it had before and they match what is specified for BroadVoice.

I also receive the problem though, when the IVR transfers to voice mail and I would assume that the IVR and voice mail prompts use the same codec.

regards,
Alan.

Hi!

After carefully examining the 3CXPhoneSystem.trace.log it seemed that everything proceeds normally and everything connects up normally, but for some reason, 3CX then tries to issue a re-invite to Broadvoice and this is rejected.

Based on that, I decided to try removing the "Supports Re-invite" provider capability for Broadvoice and it now works.

Unfortunately, I don't really know what I am doing, so if I have messed something else up or just changed something I shouldn't have, I would appreciate someone telling me.

regards,
Alan.

So it is alworking now? or do you still need a hand with something?

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

It is now working.

I was just unsure about the implications of disabling the "supports re-invite" option. I don't know if it is a legitimate change or whether it might cause other problems.

regards,
Alan.

Hey, everthing is allowed. Aslong it works in the end.

Good luck.

H.
