Hey all,

I have a client that is utilizing Fanvi i18s video intercom system within their 3cx system to allow for magnetic door locks to release on a DTMF tone sent by users.

It is working great when it calls a ring group. They can answer on their browser extensions, get video, get 2 way audio, and DTMF code triggers when pressed and the relay closes unlocking the door. Very exciting.

Some users want to remove themselves from the ring group at certain parts during the day. Naturally, this leads me to a Queue instead of an RG.

However, when in a queue and using the browser extension, DTMF code is not triggering the relay, nothing happens besides button presses and call ends after a 30 second timer

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Evan,

Please confirm if the same issue can be replicated outside of the browser extension.

Use a deskphone, or mobile app to trigger the door opening code.

in the call queue, If they utilize their desk phone, or the mobile app, the tones send through and DTMF tone works as designed.

The issue is only with the browser extension

If you call another extension, then send DTMF using the Browser Extension, does the called party hear the tones? If they are being sent as Audio, and not as a SIP message, then your choice of Codec (low bit rate?) may be an issue. Otherwise both ends must be set to use the same DTMF Method.

Let me test a Fanvil doorphone device and get back to you on this.

Hi Evan,

We can confirm that the doorphone would not respond to DTMF under certain scenarios and we will raise the issue with the manufacturer.

I appreciate your help with this.

No problem, you should see a new firmware appearing on your PBX.

Once you update it, let me know if the problem is solved.

Please note that the doorphone may need to be reset and reprovisioned to ensure that the DTMF mode is set properly (RFC2833)
