I'm trying to make a dummy extension that would forward all internal calls to a Ring Group and would "Ring All" (3 reception phones). The purpose is so that internal users can call this dummy extension and one of the three reception users would answer and assist them. The problem is making this dummy extension visible to the internal users (as the dummy extension is not registered). Can this be done?

You don't need a dummy extension for this. They can simply dial the ring group.

As for visibility, they should be able to see it when searching by the group name or number in the app and dialer.

I have one ring group set up (extension 800 which includes the 3 reception phones). This ring group is configured to receive all of the inbound calls. It is this ring group that I want internal users to be able to call. It shows up if you dial the extension in the softphone app and in the web client dialer and you can search for the ring group name in the dialer (if you know what to search for) but it does not appear in the extension list with all the other extensions. It would be nice if they appeared in a list to select from but this is still a viable option. I just need to teach my staff how to search for ring groups. Thanks for your help.

In the app/webclient settings there is Settings/View -> Show unregistered extensions that I think is what you're asking for. Doesn't show ring groups but will show extensions.

Another idea is to configure a BLF to "custom speed dial" the ring group.

As @SteveITS said, you could configure a speed dial as BLF and have that appear in their dialer within the DesktopApp.

Otherwise, ring groups will not show up in the users grid as those are presence view, based on user's status. They are not "just all extensions."

This is how we overcame this:
Add - New Contact - Use the number of the ring group. Change the display photo to something suitable.
Then turn on the slider switch in the web client used for displaying personal contacts.
