Is there a setting that controls this or are e-mail addresses required for every extension now? I have quite a few businesses that are retail stores, restaurants or other types where extensions do not belong to a specific person, it is going to be a pain to have to put junk in there for those extensions. I just tried to save a BLF lineup and was errored out because there was no email address for a lobby extension.

Hello @VISA MC ,

Can you explain your problematic clearly ?

When I create an extension without email it's okay and I still can add BLF

Best regards
Mathieu

Hello @VISA MC ,

Can you please verify that on Extension > Voicemail > Enable Voicemail > Email Options > "Send email notification only" is not selected for those extensions that do not have email?

If this is not the case, can you please provide more information related to the configuration scenario that you are trying to execute?

Thank you in advance.

So you are correct, the option for email delivery and delete from mailbox was enabled.

This must be some new validation included in recent updates kind of like when you check STUN for a phone it reminds you to uncheck Disallow from outside the LAN.

This has been our account for almost a year with no changes to the system. The extension in question is the owners wife who never gets voicemail anyway, we must’ve had the option to email attachments set but no email all along and 3CX never checked the address entered.

No worries just weird things we are finding after the recent updates.

@VISA MC ,

Happy to hear that the issue resolved. Our efforts as 3CX is always to improve our products to meet the expectations of our customers. The validations in our system and their dependencies will continue to improve so that the end-users get what is expected by the system to do.

This is an ongoing process that we will assure that the transition is seamless for our users without causing any future problems.

Thank you again for your feedback.
