Echo service from external number

Hi,

On v18, it was easy to router an inbound call to the echo service (*777). You could call from outside to test the PBX.
How to setup on v20 ?

This is probably no longer possible with 3CX v20. It will likely be possible with a CFD app.

thanks @fxbastler for having the same thoughts, but looking for certainty. Could @AndreasP_3CX, @GeorgeP_3CX or any other 3CX support staff member take away the "probably" and/or "likely".

Do not work for 3CX, but can confirm it does not work on V20 anymore.
Did try this on Trunks and Bridges, so 'External' connections are limited.

Today I have created an CFD with forward to *777, and tested.
Again, I can confirm that this does not work (not internal and not external).

Thanks @paulodagraca. I'll put it on the list "works no longer v20".
Was an excellent thing to test the full path of the phones, pbx, voip trunks, operators, ....
Hope they bring it back...

A make call in the disconnect handler flow from *777 to the original calling number works.

This means that the internal extension or the DID from an external source using the CFD app is called, the call is terminated, and 3CX calls back using the echo service.

This also means that 3CX establishes the call to the original caller. This can be expensive. I don't think this is desired.

No, but the function with the CFD app and a call from *777 does basically the same thing, even for any call from outside.
