Elastix can't see the dialed number

Hello. When getting calls in agent console, elastix sometimes can't detect what number the call is coming from. When I check the database, in call_entry table callerid is "unknown". Any idea what might be causing this?

call is coming from sip trunk or analogline or gsmcard?

Analog line. I have experience with siptrunk, no problem. But had to switch to analog line and having all sorts of problem. I'm using Asterisk TDM PCI card.

It is going to be a very much test every type of Method........

Now just remember, many of these posts are old and that they talk about zaptel.conf and similar. You will find most of the same settings in dahdi files in the same directory.

Now one more thing before you go to far down, have you confirmed that Caller ID is turned on for those PSTN lines. There are many countries where they charge additional for the CallerID service. Best was to test is put an analog phone (with display) on the line and check that Caller ID is actually enabled....

Thank you Bob, the problem seems to be with the provider/carrier.
There are 4 DAHDI channels for one number. Any calls that comes through DAHDI/1 usually has the callerid visible, like 80% of the time.
Calls that comes through DAHDI/2 and 3 are always 'unknown'.

We plugged the Wildcard back into the first system that was working fine, and 'unknown' issue persisted. That's why we concluded something must have gone wrong with the carrier
