Hi there . Is there anyway to use another SMTP server other than the 3CX SMTP server to send welcome emails?

I am using the free version . the 3CX SMTP server fails all the time and I cannot send welcome emails

You can only have the 3CX provided server in that case.

Does it fail with any errors ? where is your system hosted.

5.7.0 is a mismatch of your FQDN IP to the IP you are sending the eMail from. Check under Settings Network that the IP they are correct and your FQDN resolves correctly.

Should my FQDN be an Ip address and not a 3cx address

Your FQDN should resolve to the IP address under "Public IP" if you run an nslookup on that FQDN what does it say ? also you are using on-premise so are you using Public FQDN and local IP or split DNS ?

the ip that comes back is my public ip . I use on premises and local ip

So it is resolving remotely, and is this the correct Public IP address to what you are seeing under either network, or the main dashboard ?
