Hi all

I've got several companies in a PBX.

They all have their own SIP trunks and outbound rules.

If they dial emergency number, does it first use their outbound rule or straight up to the emergency number?

Im using the SIP trunks to determine CID but I dont want them displaying the incorrect CID on the emergency line.

how do i get around this?

oh nevermind... i can make multiple rules for emergency

im only one coffee in, leave me alone.

Just a follow up...

Does this work in top down order?

Like If i put a catch all at the bottom as a just in case all else fails - this will work? (Calls made by anyone)

Hello Alphabetic,

Yes, as always with 3CX, top-down using first match.
Will leave you alone now.

More detailed version:

-Top down, first match, use up/down buttons to move in list
-Can have multiple entry's for same number, for example department, but use differend names (like 112-depatment_name)
-Catch all at the bottom, with no filters on department or extensions, is an option
-You can use multiple routes (sip trunks), if that is an option for the location

One thing that is different in V20 U7 is how rules are evaluated. For example, if in your rule you indicate that the person must belong to a specific Department AND "Calls to numbers starting with prefix", instead of this being an "AND" it is now an "OR". Be sure to test your outbound rules to ensure they work the way you expect.

Nope, those two are AND
It's Calls from Departments OR Calls from extension(s)

Now that makes sense. Thanks for the correction.
