Ensure that calls beginning with 911 are directed to 911 central?

As far as I know, it is best practice to ensure that calls beginning with 911 are directed to emergency services. This is because people who dial 911 under stress may dial other digits afterward by accident.

Within 3cx, is it possible to create an outbound rule so that calls that begin with 911 (with any number of appended digits) end up sending 911 to the sip trunk provider?

calls to numbers starting with prefix 911

calls to numbers with a length of:
3

and the next rule would be length of 4 and strip digit 1

next rule would be length of 5 and strip digits 2 and so on.

If the sets being used have an internal dialplan, then one could be constructed that will send 911 immediately after it is dialled, not allowing any additional digits. Also keep in mind, if you use an outbound prefix, that some users may attempt to dial 9-911, as they are used to dialling the prefix before any outside calls. It is safer to "cover all your bases".
