Error with 3cx after upgrade from Debian 8 to 9

Any help would be appreciated - upgraded to Debian 9 without issue, however with 3CX getting the following:

Have you made a backup before upgrading?

If so, start a new VM or reinstall Debian 9 from scratch using the 3CX ISO and simply restore your backup.

Distro upgrades can be tricky on Linux sometimes.

Unfortunately that was a big mistake, no backup.

how did you upgrade? with the button from the Management Console?
Where is the Debian install running on/in?
