Hi, I'm wondering if someone can help in anyway.
I have recently setup an instance of 3cx SMB in the UK and have a SIP provider. Last week the SIP provider had an issue with their system which meant the connection was down shortly. 3cx detected this and shows in the event log it failed to log in. Very shortly after the SIP provider fixed its issue and it was back but 3cx did not automatically try and reconnect, it required me to go in, modify a setting and back again to then click save for it to log in.

I have 2 issues.
1. Why did it not automatically retry after a period of time but apparently does on other levels of 3cx?
2. Is there anyway of being notified it is no longer working so I can fix it myself/at least know its down?

The only reason I knew there was an issue is when someone tried to phone and couldn't. I spoke to my SIP provider and they just said to check their status page and subscribe to any changes! I have looked through the 3cx system and cannot find anything showing how to be alerted. I'm happy to be emailed on every event, or specific event or access using an API of some kind but at the moment it looks like the only way to tell is to make a call to the number every so often, or manually log into the system and check the status.

Thanks in advance.

On SMB there is no way to get informed. For this you need at least pro. The SIP Trunk should reconnect after a while, but i cannot say how long it will wait for reconnect.
