Exclude nearby extension in Multicast Paging Group

I have am running Version 20.0 Update 6 (Build 724 Release) and have a Paging Multicast ring group. In v18, I was able to exclude particular extensions (via the User account). In my case I have two reception phones near each other that should only ever do paging, but now there is feedback/echo as the second phone starts paging. Suggestions? Has the setting location changed? Thanks.

If the Ring Group is just for paging, why not remove one of the extensions from it?

Its a Multicasting type - no option to remove any extension. In v20, within the extension settings, you use to be able to set multicast settings, but that doesn't appear so either.

Hi,

As it mentions on the page, additional configuration is needed. Essentially you need to add-remove specific phones from the multicast group via their own configuration interfaces. It is possible your two receptionist phones were added to this group in v18 and retained the setting.

Can you show me a screenshot or link where you now specify if the extension is enabled for that Multicast group? V18, it was simply under the ip phone tab of an extension. I can't see it in v20. So unsure how to include or exclude extensions now.
Or are you suggesting it is via the phone web interface - so manually inserted? If true, then how does a phone I have reset to factory default, is pulling this config from 3cx? I assume there isn't a cache version of each phone's config in the system.

First group multicast IP and ports are somewhat standart, and phones could have that switched on in their factory default state.
Change the port of the multicast group and see if phones follow it.

Great suggestion. Went and changed the port, then reprovisioned a phone, and it followed. :| So changes are coming from 3CX server.

OK, so it would seem that the old assignment of those phones to be in the paging group is sticky.

At this time the path to clear one out is to delete it from the user/PNP etc, reset it and reprovision it as new.
