Expired license require redeploy?

Just to pick up this thread, when the 40 days demo license expires, what exactly happens? Does the system get down graded and still continues to operate on the free level , or does it require a new license ?

It continues to operate but PRO features are disabled. After one year it downgrades to 8SC standard but it keeps working, nothing else changes.
