Hi Guys,

my extensions show that they have 2 phones when they only have one.

they're on LAN and do not use the 3CX Client or Web Client.

They're using Fanvil X4.

Anyone know why?

Thanks.

Two phones, different MACs or two appearances, two keys, one set?

Hello @kieferschild

Please note that new extensions show that they have 1 phone for the 3CX client or web client. Once you assign an IP phone to the extension they show 2 phones assigned assuming that you are referring to the "Phones" column under the extensions tab

Hi Yainnis,

How come for EXT who have Yealink phones it shows 1 phone and 2 phones for Fanvil?

Should I not see "Windows Client CTI" under phones to reflect this?

I have an EXT showing it has 2 phones. However, Phones page shows EXT only has a Fanvil phone and doesnt use client.

Is this a new thing? Does it only apply to new extensions? The yealink users have been in the system for a long time.

This has always been the case. If you create a new extension then the extension will be listed as having 1 phone which is the 3CX client in the extensions tab. The phones tab only shows registered devices.
Are you seeing 2 devices under the Phones tab when only one is registered?

I'm wondering why I have extensions showing 2 phones (Fanvil Users) and 1 phone (Yealink users)

Where are you seeing this information? Is it under the extensions Tab of the management console or under the phones Tab of the management console?

Extensions tab shows that users with Yealinks have 1 phone and Fanvil users have 2 phones.

If you navigate to extensions settings / Phone provisioning do you see the 3CX client and Yealink phone in the drop down menu? Are the phones auto provisioned to 3CX?

Ah.

My Yealink users are using W52Ps and they're set up in DECT.

This will explain it then.

Thanks.

Yes, DECT devices are configured through the FXS/DECT tab of the management console and are not visible under the extensions phone provisioning section. Glad to see the issue has been resolved.
