Hello,

our ticket system can show a popup with detailed customer information. To get this working there needs to be a http post like

https://xxx/index.php?&maID=2&nr=015244165635

maID is the extensionnumber
nr is callerID

Incoming calls are routed to a queue. From there to a available extenions.

Is there a way to initate the http post when extension is ringing?

Best regards

Yes, but you won't have the extension number. But the Webclient/Desktop App can trigger a URL on ringing or connected, and has 2 variables: caller name and number.

Actually, as this is a client side setting, you can hardcode the extension number for each Web Client/Desktok App...

Thank you, but the URL is calling an RestFul API Endpoint. So no GUI. Technically it would work, but users will always get a blank page an each call ringing. So I'm looking for some server side solution. CFD seems not to trigger when extension rings. Incoming calls can be routed to CF-App, but only all calls. I can found nothing to trigger a extension ringing. At least not with standard settings....

What did as a workaround: I query the activity log via 3CX api. But you have to set logging to verbose level. In that way i can see if an extension is ringing.

But i wonder that there is no other way beside all the CRM Templates and CFD stuff...

You could query the CDR.

The CFD cannot intercept or monitor a call that it isn't involved in.

The only way I see is have the extensions record all calls and then monitor the recording folder on the machine to trigger an API call. The recording filename will have caller, callee and timestamp.

Will CDR be written on ringing? I thought when call is hangup. That would be nice. Call Recording is a way, too. But we have to inform caller with opt-out Option.

CDRs will be created when the call ends, so that will not work.

The recording is a way to go, but the file will be created when the call is answered, and not ringing....
