Hello community,

I am using an extension on our 3cx running 15.5.6354.2.
After removing the whole provisioning data from my IP Phone where it was registered, it still looks as registered in 3cx management console (green button under the "Extensions" tab)
The ext. is not registered via any other client (e.g. 3cx client) and it cannot be found under the "Phones" tab.
Generally speaking, I have noticed that an extension always shows as registered (green light) when it is configured to "Ring my Mobile simultaneously", but this is not the case here.
I also removed it from a Group, in case that this was the root cause, but again it is showing as registered.
Any idea what could be the reason behind this?

Thank you,
George

Did the extension ever had PUSH enabled on it?

Well, not sure what this is (any relative documentation is more than welcome).
I can say that under "Phone Provisioning" it only has the 3cx client, and the "Enable PUSH for smartphones" option is enabled.
But while I am writing those lines, it is not registered from any 3cx - or other - client.

Hello @George Tsionos

An extension can stay registered even if a device is not registered to it with 2 ways. The first is when the option "Ring my Mobile simultaneously" is enabled so that the PBX can send the call to your mobile number. The second way is by using Push. Mobile clients do not stay registered to the PBX when you close the app to conserve the battery life of your mobile device. When a call is initiated the PBX will send a Push notification that will wake up the 3CX client to enable it to receive the call. For this to happen the extension must remain registered. So if you want to de-register the extension make sure that the option "Enable PUSH for smartphones" is not enabled.

Excellent explanation @YiannisH_3CX
This resolved the issue, thus the thread may be closed.
Thanks a lot.
