Hi all,

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not - so here's my situation.

  • I have no office hours defined on a system level
  • I have no SIP office hours defined
  • I have defined office hours on an extension
I have an extension, i.e. 0004. On that extension, I have ticked the 'Switch Status' box, and configured 'Specific Office Hours' of 07:30 -> 16:00 every weekday.

I have then added a 'Exception' of:

Caller Id: * , Hours: During Office Hours, Action: Forward to In-Office IVR
Caller Id: * , Hours: Outsisde Office Hours, Action: Forward to Out-of-Office IVR

Yet no matter what time I call, the calls land on the In-Office IVR.

What am I doing wrong?

I would say your exceptions are wrong, as you have call Id * which means all calls.

What are you trying to do with the exceptions ?

When this extension is called (think of it in a service-desk scenario), I want a call from anywhere during office hours to go to one IVR (the "open" IVR). I then want a call from anywhere OUT of office hours to go to the other IVR (the "closed" IVR).

How should I set that up?

Also the extension isn't a real phone, just a phantom extension.

If I'm doing it completely wrong I'm happy to be corrected hahah

Hello @justinm88

Please note that the exceptions will follow the system office hours and not the extensions office hours as exceptions ignore forwarding rules.
You will want to setup your exceptions with specific hours and not office hours.

Thanks mate, just figured that out.

I set up the exception to outside of xyz hours send to closed IVR, and the rule after that in order was all calls go to open IVR.
