We have a user who had returned from holiday to see that their 3CX extension was set to Unregistered, I originally believed it would have been due to the user not opening their 3CX app on their phone so I checked their extension however they only have a Yealink T42S as their phone. Please can I ask if the Yealinks check in to 3CX periodically, or if the 7 days before marking the extension as Unregistered also applies if the phone is not used during that time period?

Thanks,
Jack

IP Phones are not affected by this. Please check the Yealink phone because it has probably lost power or network.

Hi John,

Thank you for your response, I will take a look at the user's phone. One section I have noticed is in the config of the phone one of the options is "features.power_saving.enable" which is set to 1, from further research this sets the phone into power saving mode after 72 hours of non-use. Please can I ask if this might stop the phone from communicating with the SBC located in the office?

Kind regards,
Jack

Power Saving Mode should simply turn off the backlight. It wouldn't make any sense to have it stop registering, as you would stop receiving calls.
Perhaps the IP of the set was blacklisted? I've seen that happen to local LAN devices. In fact, it used to happen so often that I ended up having to Whitelist the local LAN.

Yeah I think you might be going in the wrong direction here as leejor also pointed out.

Just check the basics first, does it have power, does it have LAN, can it reach the SBC, is the SBC registered etc.

If in doubt factory reset and reprovision. If it doesn't reprovision this will set you in the right direction.
